About

I have been completely blind since the age of three, in result of a brain tumor on my optic nerve. Growing up I faced both physical and emotional challenges, but the one thing that I could turn to was creating art. This is thanks to my Papa, even before I lost sight, he kept me busy making crafts, but this increased significantly after losing my sight.

As a teenager, I realized my true love of creating and so I started taking jewelry technique classes to learn more skills including wire wrapping, bead weaving, embroidery, and hand knotting. I decided in 2023 to start selling my jewelry at local craft fairs and galleries. I came to this decision after spending time in prayer and reading the Bible. I always struggled with what I wanted to do with my life, I did not want to be just another stereotypical blind person unless I absolutely had to be. The Holy Spirit spoke to me through this first Bible verse to guide me in the direction God wants me to go. “As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him” John 9:1-3. Before I became a child of God, I always thought Jesus gave sight to the blind to show off God’s powers. The Holy Spirit spoke the truth to me, that it is not the point of God giving someone sight, it is about the works that God does through that person, it is to glorify God. The second verse along with the Parable of the Talents is what lead me to my decision “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” 1 Peter 4:10. It is thanks to God’s grace that I have received this gift in exchange of my loss. I want to use my story for his glory, and to use the grace that he has given me to help others in any way that I can.
